Warehouse worker

Requirements: work only for women, age: 18–50 years

It is important to have a conversational level of English!

Salary

— 25.36 zł net per hour (includes +2 zł bonus for signing PIT-2)

— Students under 26 years: 31.40 zł net per hour

— +2 zł net per hour if you live in your own accommodation

— Attendance and performance bonus up to 500 zł gross

— Advance payment possible after the first worked week

— Salary is paid between the 20th–25th of each month for the previous month

Work Schedule

— In high season: 5–6 days per week, 12 hours per day

  * 1st shift: 06:00–18:00

  * 2nd shift: 18:00–06:00

—In low season: 2 shifts, 8–12 hours

—If Sunday is a working day – only one shift (06:00–18:00)

— Breaks:

  * 8-hour shift – 1 break (15 min)

  * 12-hour shift – 2 breaks (15 min each)

Work schedule is sent every Friday for the next week.

Average 220–290 working hours per month.

Job Duties

Work includes checking, sorting, packing, repacking and preparing clothes. You can work alone or in pairs.

All processes are automated and supported by a computer system.

After scanning an item, the computer shows what to do.

Women do not carry or lift heavy things.

The job is easy to learn. Basic computer and scanner skills are welcome.

Work Processes

• Checking and sorting clothes (work at tables, in pairs)

— One worker scans clothes, checks quality, removes security tags and confirms in the computer.

— Second worker folds clothes and puts them in the correct place:

  * If everything is OK – clothes go on a hanger and move to packing.

  * If cleaning/ironing/repair is needed – item goes to another department.

• Processing clothes and shoes

— Removing small stains with steam and special products

— Ironing

— Light shoe cleaning

— Repacking

  If necessary, items are removed from sale. After processing, items go to packing.

• Opening and preparing boxes (mostly men work here)

— Cutting tape on pallets and boxes

— Preparing boxes for the line

• Sorting hangers

— Separating hangers by type for reuse

Additional Information

— Big kitchen with equipment

— Tea, coffee and vending machines available

— Each worker has a personal locker

— Water coolers available (you can take a bottle to the workplace)

— No phone use at the workplace

— No jewelry (rings, bracelets, chains, etc.).

Allowed: wedding rings, small watches, small earrings (stud type).

Accommodation

— Provided in Łódź

— Cost: 600 zł per month (deducted from salary)

— Free transport to/from work
