What the jobs are and what they pay
Bydgoszcz is an industrial city, so most of our work sits in three areas: poultry and food processing, metalworking, and warehouses.
Real numbers from our current openings, not market averages: poultry plants pay PLN 5,500–8,500 a month, MIG/MAG and TIG welders PLN 9,000–11,500. Hourly that works out to PLN 22–32.
Shifts are long — usually 10 to 12 hours, five or six days a week. At the poultry plants it is normally 12 hours, Monday to Saturday. The work is physical and you are on your feet. Worth knowing before you apply.
Housing, paperwork and deductions
The employer provides accommodation. You pay only utilities or a small accommodation fee, usually PLN 400–850 a month depending on the job, taken from your salary. Rooms are usually shared by three people, and you should bring your own bedding.
You pass a medical check before starting work; your recruiter will tell you in advance how it is paid for on your job. Work clothing is free.
The contract is official — umowa o pracę or umowa zlecenia — with ZUS contributions paid by the employer and health insurance included. An advance is possible if you ask ahead.
